Hi, I'm Ainsley of Crooked Birch Counseling.

 

I began my career as a Social Worker in 2005. I've had the incredible honor ever since, for the past 14 years specifically in health care settings, of counseling & companioning folks through some of the darkest times in their lives. This has taken many forms - abortion care, mental health and substance use challenges, crisis intervention and acquired brain injury care.

I'm a straight, cisgender, white, able-bodied woman with associated privileges. I am aware of and pay attention to how I have benefitted from these privileges, and work to address power differences in all of my relationships.  

 

I'm also:

• from a family of 8 

• a mediocre but gumptious softball player

• a lover of animals, good books, good puns, strong coffee, forest walks, and all things cozy.
